ugggggggg

I am so annoyed. I put up my opinion on a site, guess I put it to literately and I get jumped all over on it.  I guess I jumped all over them first?  I tried not too but guess some people are sensitive.  Sarcasm is hard to interpret into the written word.  :P

Today

Today was a good day.  The snow that was supposed to fall, didn't.  That is always good news.  The snow piles are getting quite large and starting to wonder where to put it all :P

DS has a cold, hasn't had one since the end of Oct so that is good news.  The not have a cold in a while, not the cold itself :)  Hoping I don't get it cause I don't think I'm allowed to take anything besides a tylenol *sigh.  Oh how I long for the days I can take NyQuil and sleep on my back again.  Only 4 and 1/2 months left.  Then no sleep for a year, then HOPEFULLY, I can get at least the 6 hrs I normally get now :)  Which is a blessing that I get that, should go to bed earlier I know, but then I wouldn't get to watch TV (which I love, even if it's garbage) and just hang out with DH.

Not sure if I'll send DS to school tomorrow.  Depends on how he is doing.  Don't really need other kids to get sick, so might just keep him home.  It's only a day and it's only JK, right?  But....I then feel guilty keeping him home away from there where he could be learning something important that day.  Meh, I tend to over worry, even worse now that I'm pregnant.  Just typing about it is causing the heart burn to act up.  Stress does not do well with me when I'm pregnant.  Had heart burn all through out pregnancy with DS when I was working.  This time around isn't so bad since I'm home now.  Mixed emotions at times, but that seems to be normal.  I think.  I am not a shrink :)

Happy New Year!

We didn't go out anywhere this year.  We just sat at home and watched movies till 1 am.  Glad they were good movies or else I would of been pissed :P  We did pause them long enough to watch the ball drop in NYC on Dick Clarks show.  That guy is getting OLD.  How does he still have such dark hair and no grey? (I know he dyes it, I'm being sarcastic)

DS's birthday is coming up.  Decided on a dinosaur theme this year.  He is having 5 kids over.  5 kids all around 5 yrs old and younger in my house for two hours.  Am I nuts?  Well, I guess so, and it's only for two hours.  To be honest they will be fine down in the basement.  The whole thing is Jake's play room anyways.  They'll keep each other entertained than me trying to get them to play games the whole time.  I got two games and 1 craft for them to do.  (all dino theme)  We bought some decorations yesterday at Dollerama ( have I mentioned how much I LOVE this store?)  Started cutting out shapes yesterday, going to paint them on Monday while he is in school then start putting them up around the basement.  Going to have to decided what toys need to be hidden in his room though.  He has certain toys that I know he loves and might get upset if someone else plays with them.  I should leave them out so he learns to share, but knowing these are popular toys he might not be the only one fighting for them.  Still have to get his birthday presents.   I have a idea for 1 toy, but not really sure on what else to get him.  He got lots of stuff for Christmas.  I do that every year, buy a lot at Christmas then when his birthday comes around I have no clue what to get him :P

Going to the Sound of Music in TO today.  Going with a couple of girlfriends. First dinner then the show.  DS is going to Grandma's house.  DH had to work so he's out.  Though we do get a ride home from him which is great.  Don't have to run for the GO Train this time around :)  Only crappy thing is that I have to wear my winter boots.  Hate this time of year.  Get all dressed up and then u have your crappy boots.  I could get some nicer, dressy ones.  To be honest I can't.  I'll get them and only wear them once and what a waste of $$ to me.  I am practical. I am a mommy who goes out in the snow with DS and goes tobogganing or shovel snow out of the driveway.  I need a pair that is warm and practical not fashionable.  Winter don't care what kind of boots you wear, as long as they are warm and keep you dry.
